Quality Care

Southmead Retirement Home - Quality Care - Broadstone Poole Dorset

In common with all care homes in the UK, Southmead has focused on continuous improvement of the overall quality of its care services. This is not just in respect of the obvious such as actual personal care, food and surroundings. It encompasses the whole range of outcomes required by the Health & Social Care Act 2008. In June 2012, Southmead was awarded Beacon status in the Gold Standards Framework for Care Homes - the highest quality award for excellence in end of life care (visit the GSF news page for more details).  The Home was subsequently revalidated at Beacon status in 2015.

Southmead is committed to providing high standards of care and a good quality of life to its residents, who are encouraged to be as independent as their health allows.
