Southmead Garden Party July 2016

Every year we hold a garden party in the Summer to welcome all relatives and friends of the Home, past as well as present.

The weather was kind this year, we narrowly missed the rain and there was a good turn out.  Entertainment was by Marie, kindly standing in for her sister Jane who is not only one of our regular entertainers but the daughter of our then currently sole male resident.  We provide Pimms', a cream tea and a few stalls such as tombola, bric a brac and there is a grand raffle with some nice prizes!  Funds raised on the day go to some amenity for our residents, or to one of our favoured charities - usually either the Forest Holme Hospice, or at the opposite end of the age scale, Julia's House, which provides among to other things, day care for disabled children and thus respite for their parents.

Quality and accreditations

In common with all care homes in the UK, Southmead has focused on continuous improvement of the overall quality of its care services.
